Yes!!!!

This has been one of my favorite sandwiches for over 50 years, except I didn’t put lettuce on it. People thought I made this up, but I think I first saw it in a camping magazine. Crunchy, gooey, sweet, salty, savory, and yummy!
Next time I make one, I will CONSIDER adding the lettuce gasket, though the introduction of green food into a perfectly fine sandwich seems risky. I may have to make 2 sandwiches: one as God intended us to make them, and another with the lettuce.

Bill, is the bacon cooked or from the package?

one of my cousins used to make a sandwich of peanut butter & sliced tomatoes. I saw him eat it. he said he made it with left over meatballs and cold cuts(lunch meat) too.
